21 women and adolescent girls as well as 22 Anganwadi workers were given the Stree Shakti Teelu Rauteli and Anganwadi Worker Awards for their contribution in various fields on the birth day of Virangana Tilu Rauteli in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Minister of State for Women Empowerment and Child Development Rekha Arya presented the awards to six women at a ceremony held at the Secretariat. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced an increase of 10-10 thousand rupees in the amount of these awards. He said that from next year, an amount of Rs 31 thousand will be given to women and adolescent girls and Rs 21 thousand to Anganwadi workers. On the other hand, 37 women and adolescent girls and Anganwadi workers were given these awards at the district level.

This year the Teelu Rauteli award distribution ceremony was limited. Badminton player and trainer Unnati Bisht of Dehradun district, Sangeeta Thapliyal and Geeta Maurya, who did remarkable work in the Corona period, were honored with the Stree Shakti Teelu Rauteli award at the main function held on Saturday evening in the secretariat’s auditorium. Apart from this, three Anganwadi workers Sudha, Seema Rana and Hayat Fatima were given state level Anganwadi worker awards.

Uttarakhand is the only land along with Devbhoomi

On this occasion, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand is also a land of Devbhoomi along with Devbhoomi. It is necessary to build confidence in children

He said that after completing the age of 18 years of children living in orphanages, a reservation of 5 percent in government services has been made for them. He said that women should consider taking a fee of one rupee in property purchase in future. Wife will also have rights over land with husband

He said that in the larger interest of women in the state, the government has taken steps towards giving rights to the husband as well as the wife on the land. He urged the Chief Minister that women should be charged only one rupee for the purchase of property up to Rs 50 lakh.
