The Ministry of Defense (Defense Ministry) has asked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to take care that contrary to the reputation of the security forces, nothing wrong goes to the public. The Defense Ministry has received some such complaints in recent times according to which the army personnel and their uniforms were presented in a derogatory manner in the web series. By doing this, the web series worked away from reality and tarnished the image of the army and other security forces.

After this, the Defense Ministry has written a letter to CBFC to advise the construction companies not to submit such objectionable material in the national interest. At the same time, the board has been requested to issue a no objection certificate to the programs of the film, serials and web series, looking at the material related to the army and other security forces. The Ministry has also conveyed the matter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

According to the report, army men and former military personnel have expressed their displeasure over such objectionable things in many web series and TV serials. The Ministry of Defense has asked the production houses to take NOC from the army before airing the army-based film, serials and web series. The Ministry of Defense has taken this step so that people’s feelings are not hurt.
