Farmers on the road against agricultural ordinances, Punjab BJP president’s house cordon

The farmers of Punjab laid siege to the house of BJP Punjab state president Ashwani Sharma in protest against the agriculture ordinances of the central government. While demonstrations are banned due to Corona, despite this, around 400 farmers from different districts reached Pathankot, led by Majha Kisan Sangharsh Committee and Lok Insaaf Welfare Society Punjab.

Police and administration tried to stop the farmers, yet on Sunday, 70 to 80 farmers reached the house of the BJP state head and tried to encircle. The protesters here shouted slogans against the central government. Later, the police held a meeting with Ashwini Sharma along with 10 jatbandi leaders. After taking the demand letter, Ashwini Sharma has assured the farmer groups to put their problems before the central government.

The farmer leader of the Majha Kisan Sangharsh Committee, Kanwaljit Singh, said that the agricultural ordinances of the Central Government would cause heavy losses to the farmers. Mandis will end. The support price will also be lifted from 23 crops. He said that a struggle against these laws will be started across the country on 10 August.

Congress is using the shoulders of farmers: Ashwani Sharma

BJP state president Ashwani Sharma said that the confusion in the farmers’ mind regarding the ordinance will be removed. The policies of the Central Government like Farmer Crop Insurance, Kisan Credit Card, Neem Coated Urea are poised to double the income of farmers. The Congress government is firing a gun on the shoulders of farmers but has not been able to fulfill its promise in four years.

The rules of protection from Corona are out of order, police remains helpless

Despite the state government banning demonstrations to avoid Corona, a large number of farmers reached Pathankot. Physical distance rules were flown publicly. All this happened in front of the police but no action was taken. DSP City Rajinder Minhas says that they are investigating the matter right now. Those who are found to be in violation of the rules of Corona will be acted upon.
