The CBI investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput has been opposed by the Mumbai Police. With the report of the investigation of the case so far handed over in a sealed envelope to the Supreme Court, the Mumbai Police claimed that it was conducting a professional investigation in the case objectively. Learn what the Mumbai Police has argued …
Why cooperate again
In his affidavit, Inspector Bhushan Mahadev of Bandra Police Station in Mumbai has said that Bihar police has no right to trial nor to interrogate witnesses in the case. In such a situation, there is no question of any kind of cooperation to Bihar Police in this work.
FIR is inspired by politics
The Mumbai Police says that the FIR lodged by the Bihar Police in Patna is politically motivated and contrary to the spirit of the country’s federal structure. The Bihar police could only register zero FIRs and send them to Mumbai Police for investigation. He has no legal right to submit this report to the CBI.
Should have waited for the decision
The Mumbai Police has also said that the CBI should have waited for the Supreme Court verdict before registering its FIR. Let us know that Riya Chakraborty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to transfer the FIR lodged in Patna by Sushant’s father. The Mumbai Police has filed its reply in the same case.
Shanta’s father said, Riya’s petition is meaningless
On the other hand, Sushant’s father said in the Supreme Court that the investigation in the plea seeking transfer of the FIR lodged in Patna to Mumbai has become meaningless after the CBI took over. Rajput’s father KK Singh, in his 27-page counter-affidavit, opposed Riya’s plea and said that Riya had once tweeted a request to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a CBI inquiry into the matter.
Supreme Court will accept the verdict: Deshmukh
According to Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, we will accept whatever instructions the Supreme Court gives regarding the investigation of Sushant case. Anil Deshmukh, who was on a tour of Nagpur, was asked if the Mumbai Police would hand over its investigation to the CBI after the investigation into the Sushant case was handed over to the CBI, to which Deshmukh said that we will follow the Supreme Court’s decision.
Riya shared a letter of thanks to Sushant
A day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) inquiry, Riya shared a photo of a note. He claimed that it was written by Sushant to show his gratitude for some special things in his life. Riya, through her lawyer Satish Maneshinde, also shared a picture of a sipper, which was during the actor’s 2019 film Chhichhore.
Riya’s brother questioned on Saturday as well
The Enforcement Directorate on Friday summoned Riya’s brother Shouvik for questioning on Saturday after questioning Sushant’s lady friend Riya Chakraborty, her brother Shouvik, business manager Shruti Modi and CA Ritesh Shah at the ED office in Ballard Estate, Mumbai.
