As many as 3929 students from government schools in Patiala district participated in the song singing bouts as part of the contests dedicated to the 400th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur on behalf of the Punjab government. Children expressed their reverence towards Guru Sahib by singing the life, sacrifices, teachings and objectives of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. In addition, students with special needs also participated in all three classes.
District Education Officer (C) Haridar Kaur and District Education Officer (A) Eng. Amarjeet Singh said that the winners of the block level competitions of the song singing bouts have been announced.
Simranjit Kaur Bhilowal of primary vigor block Babarpur, Shivani Kakrala out of Bhadas-1, Jasmine Sibhado out of Bhadas-2, Naridarjot Bishangarh out of Bhunarhedi-1, Bhunarhedi-2 Kiranjot Kaur Bahl, Hasanjot Singh Shambhu Kalan from Dariyan Naridar Kaur from Devigarh, Jasmeet Kaur from Ghanore, Kiranjit Kaur Urban Estate-1 from Patiala-1, Patiala-2 Karamanjot Kaur Fielkhana, Patiala-3 Manpreet Kaur, Rajpura-1 Daksh, Rajpura-2 Sunita, Samana-1 Karan Singh Chunagara, Manidar Singh Ola out of Samana-2 and Piyush Mahra out of Samana-3 topped.
